Bilingual/TESOL

OVERVIEW : Bilingual education involves teaching academic content in two languages: a native and a secondary language, with varying amounts of each language used in accordance with the program model. Bilingual teacher is also called a TESOL teacher, which means Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

JOB DESCRIPTION : Some of the common bilingual programs used by schools include English as a Second Language (ESL). The focus of ESL classes is to teach the students, English language. The classes may include students of other languages, all receiving intensive instructions. The medium of instruction is English, with no use being made of students' native language.
