Nursing - Career in Medical Field

OVERVIEW : Nursing is one of the noblest professions in the healthcare industry that require a great compassionate mind towards the sick and disabled ones. This flourishing career in the medical field has broad range of specializations and diverse opportunities. As the population is growing larger, the country is facing a great shortage in the nursing care professionals.

ELIGIBILITY : Eligibility requirements vary for each of the study program and most of the nursing schools perform some standardized tests to admit the eligible students. To initiate the career as a nurse, one should pass a licensing examination called National Council Licensure Examination but the licensing requirements vary according to each state.

JOB PROSPECTS
:
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) projects more than 17 million jobs in the healthcare market by the end of the year 2016. Nursing professionals constitute the largest part of the health care arena with their medical services.
According to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nursing professionals will have great job prospects from 2010-20.
