Per Dime reporters serve the court on an 'as needed' basis without a formal contract. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of court reporters is expected to grow by 14 percent from 2010 to 2020, as fast as the average for all occupations. The salary of court reporters varies from $60,000 to $100,000 depending upon their experience and expertise.
