OVERVIEW : Catering managers are responsible for the daily operation of restaurants and other establishments that are involved in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to the customers. Catering managers ensure that food served is of good quality and meeting certain set standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION : Catering managers are involved in the preparation of the food in the restaurants and hotels. They oversee the different food preparation methods and the overall presentation of the food. Catering managers are also responsible for ensuring that food prepared is complying with the health as well as food safety standards and regulations.


The other roles of catering managers include keeping budgets and payroll records. They also review financial transactions.
